Peace Be With You

This layout from my wedding ceremony scrapbook features photos from the part of the mass when everyone gives each other peace.

Since we went around and gave peace (and hugs) to our parents, Mark's grandmother, and all of our wedding party, it was a pretty lengthy pause in the ceremony.  My parents even walked across to the other side of the aisle and gave peace (and hugs) to Mark's mom and grandmother.

I had a nice little matte that I used to highlight some of these shots.  I chalked it up a bit with some black ink, and now that I'm looking it again, I think it needs some red ink also...

I little chipboard flourish so I can add some journalling (yes, I still need to do that...)

And then just some framed shots that are not as small as the one in the matte.  I like the cream-colored paper with the flowers (below).  You can't really tell in the photo, but the paper has a fuzzy texture.

Red Roses

As you may remember, our accent color for the wedding was red.  So, during my journey to create four wedding scrapbooks, I picked up a lot of red embellishments, including some red flower ribbon.

I used this ribbon on a couple of pages, but I like the tie in with my wedding bouquet.  The heart journaling card I'm pretty sure was a Hallmark sample I'd received once upon a time.  (I know, I still need to add the journaling!)

This was a nice photo of the intricacies of my hair, and I used some curlicue photo corner embellishments to frame my hair.  The embellishments also mimic the design on the base paper.

And this is just a nice photo of my dress and necklace, set off by some (brighter) pink paper.  I like how the design in my dress is similar to the design on the base paper.

Who's Fuzzy (and Cute)?

It's not that hard to figure out--Nox!  :)  He was really starting to smell, so I gave him a bath over the weekend.  He isn't a fan of baths, but he stood quietly while I shampooed and rinsed him.  He's finally shedding, and even though he doesn't have a long coat, he does have some ruff on his legs, and he looks fuzzy when his fur is wet!  :)

One more photo of cuteness:

Unconditional

This is a really simple layout with one photo, one base page, and one transparent overlay.

I knew I wanted to use the overlay with this red piece of paper immediately.  I liked how the design on the overlay complemented the design on the paper.

Then it was just the matter of finding a nice photo to use.  I decided to go with a photo from the chapel, and I like how the bouquet ties back to the design and color of the base paper.
