Happily Ever After...Again

This is a page with various photos from during the wedding ceremony.  I'm guessing this page was kind of an afterthought, as I realized I still had photos I wanted to use, and hadn't fit them in on other appropriate pages...

I used red paper with a flowery light red pattern to make a splash of color on the page.  The photo of us walking out of the chapel at the end of the ceremony I centered on a piece of grey chipboard that had some grey swirls kind of book-ending the photo.

Then I used a little more red paper to add some interest around this photo of the bridesmaids in the pew, also tying to the red dresses.

I think that bottom little red piece of paper was meant for some journaling that I haven't done yet.  I am working on journaling everything now because I've already forgotten who a few of the people (friends of my parents) were!

Why Do I Love You?

In case you haven't noticed, red was the color we used in the wedding, so I've used a lot of red paper in my wedding scrapbooks, especially on pages with black and white photos.

In the corners of the red paper are little blocks pointing towards the middle, to the picture, so your eyes naturally go there.

On this layout I used a 6x6 page layout that I had purchased from somewhere and put a photo of us kissing (after our vows).  This I centered on a glossy red page.

And there it is--I Do.

Happily Ever After

Yep, you guessed it, another wedding scrapbook page. (I have a lot!)  Some elements I like about this page:

1. I used rub on text for the "happily ever after."  It looks like it's handwritten onto the lined paper, but my handwriting is not that nice!  :)

2. Even though it's flowery, and not usually my style, I had this vellum piece that I put over one of our wedding ceremony booklets, so that the front of the booklet (with our names) was visible.

3. I just like having these two pictures together from the same angle, one close and the other further away.  Underneath I used more of the paper from the top of the page.

More Snow Fun

Here is Nox frolicking in the snow.  Super cute!

(Please ignore the fact that I am floundering around the backyard with this cuteness.)

Cuteness Rides Again

Here is some cuteness of Nox from snowmeggedon.  Here we are playing in the backyard:

Nox is super cute in how he bounds around the yard.  The snow was up to my knees and up to Nox's chest, so he kind of had to bound in order to get around.  :)

Heart to Heart

Here's a page of both Mark and I ready before the wedding.  I used a black flowery page as the base to give a border to the light tan (and glossy) flourishy-patterened page.  The strip that is making a border along the photo of me (as well as the kiss paper) is from a Bo Bunny kit that I repurposed.

I think the colors are complimentary, and the flowers are carried through the different elements.

Also, I just really like the photos of us!  :)

Snow Day

So, we've been getting a LOT of snow from the blizzard (snowmeggedon!).  The snow was beautiful yesterday, with the sun out.  But then the temperature started to drop, and the wind began to really blow.

We had gotten around 16 inches of snow in our little corner of the world, and in the places where we had shoveled or snow was drifting, the snow was closer to 28 inches high!

So, with the negative 30 degree temps, it became less enticing to go out and play in the snow, or even shovel the car out of the driveway!

Stay warm!  :)

Antics Ensue: The Wedding Party in the Chapel

Here are some nice photos of the wedding party getting photos in the chapel after the ceremony.

I used a black textured paper as the base, and used red and red-dotted circle stickers to add some color and to match with the bridesmaids dresses.

Then I added a few other embellishments, including the "antics ensue" journaling.

Group Photos in the Chapel

I like the pink heart-flourishy paper against the tan paper, which has a subtle cross-hatch pattern.  I used one of the wedding cards we received because it complemented the pink heart-flourishy paper nicely.

I corner-rounded all of the photos and used a round journaling tag with a heart on it (to match all the other hearts floating around on the page).

There are photos with my family, Mark's family, and our wedding party.

Happy Holidays from Nox!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!  As you might already be aware, it is pretty difficult to get good photos taken with cats and dogs.  We tried to get our Christmas photo for 30 minutes, and by the end of it, Nox was REALLY done!  :)

We dressed Nox in an ugly Christmas sweater (Mark is wearing one too), and Nox has on antlers.  So, what are the difficulties with taking a photo with your pet?

1. Other pets are curious about what you are doing and join in the shot.

2. Wardrobe malfunctions.

3. The pet doesn't look at the camera.

4. The pet owners get a little giddy from trying to take one good photo for the last 20 minutes.

But finally, you might just luck out and get ONE good shot:
