Maybe you can explain it to me....

OK, I know we haven't been posting lately. I have been extremely busy as my MFA Project--the culmination of 3 years of graduate school--is due next week, and of course, I am a *little* behind. I'm hoping that after I turn it in, I will be able to take a nice break. We can only hope for the best.

But the other day I came across an article that just boggles my mind. Everytime I think of it, all I can think is: but who was the person who thought this was a good idea?? What it sums up to is this: someone thought it would be a good idea to put a cockroach on a trackball and have it control a robot. OK, so the cockroach somehow drives the robot because of bright lights....

.....BUUUUT.....

...it's a cockroach! I mean, who first thought, oh we've got a robot we want to move on its own, but it needs a driver. Oh, I know, lets use this cockroach I found wandering around the lab!

If you can figure this one out, let me know. Otherwise, view the link above to see--yes, in fact--a cockroach on a trackball (like the ones in computer mice) driving around a robot.
