The Case for a Second Dog

My parents' golden retriever, Murphy, has been visiting while my parents are off enjoying the nice, sun-shiney weather in Florida.  He is a BIG dog, but pretty gentle.  He and Nox have had short play dates before, and get along well, but have never had an extended time together like this (about 2 weeks).  When we had first gotten Nox last fall I figured eventually we would get a second dog.  (We had wanted to get a second dog when we had Niles, but we felt we had waited too long, and that Niles was an older dog who didn't need the added stress of a new dog in the house--he had four cats to deal with as it was!)  But Nox is young and partially trained, and loves having the company, so I think this seals the deal on this decision.  Here are some cute photos of these two nerds playing together:
