Storm Damage

Last month we had some storms that were not so nice to trees--one day driving through Almont half the town had lost it's power due to a downed tree, and driving home the back way from work one day we had to backtrack because of a tree across the road. In our downtown when you cross the bridge, you get a really nice view of the River Raisin. Downstream there was a huge tree in the middle of the river (previously blogged about in Funny/Fail Signs post). Unfortunately, it seems that that tree has also been a victim to a summer storm.

 

It might be a little hard to tell (I took the picture on my iphone, which takes really low quality photos), but the whole root system is coming out of the water. :(
