The Tale of the Happy Christmas Tree

Once upon a time there was a lonely douglas fir sitting in Lowe's tree lot with nine other lonely trees. It was only a week until Christmas and no one had taken this fir home. The fir had watched friends leave--at first a lot went home with families and couples quickly, and then there were spurts, and now, there was a slow trickle. Finally one evening, a couple came in. It was late, and the lot was already closed up, but they ventured out and inspected all ten trees. They picked up a few to see them better, and finally picked up this fir. The fir was so happy because the couple talked about how beautiful it was and they were excited for it to be their first married Christmas tree. The couple took the fir to their apartment where they put it in a stand and fed it water and slid it in the corner where it fit perfectly. The couple kissed every so often as they enjoyed their first married Christmas tree decorating, and the fir was happy to be a part of everything. Finally, the couple finished the decorating, and stood back and admired the fir, and the fir, because it was so happy, gave the couple a hug.

I believe, I believe!!

Tis a beautiful, happy looking tree...

The tradition has begun. I love it!

When we get there, we (your sister) will take a picture of the tree with both of you in front of it! I think that would be sweet.

I can't wait to see it (and both of you) tomorrow at Grandma's.
