There's No Place Like Home

Nothing says love like knowing that your pets missed you. When we first got back from our vacation, Ceilidh was a little stand-offish (as she always is if I'm gone for more than a day), and Octavius and Neko kept running around, vying for attention. But, by the evening all three cats were curled up on the futon with us while we watched the Battlestar Galactica episode we missed. (That was one crowded futon!) It was nice to be one big family, but by the next morning, everything was back to normal, with Octavius spazzing out and annoying Neko and Ceilidh, with Neko's quiet meows for us to play with her, and with Ceilidh's stoic stance from atop the cat tree watching us all.

Four Years Late, But the Outrage is Still Warranted

I can't believe they killed them! I can't believe it! They ended the show by killing them!

Who? You might ask? Or what? The answer is Farscape, a great, psychedelic, character-driven, fantastical, Jim Henson-collaborated show that ran for 4 seasons from 1999-2002. Of course, Mark and I didn't catch on until the show was already cancelled, but we finally just finished watching the end of season 4, and in the finale episode, they killed John and Aeryn. How could they?!?!

But I did like the added touch of the final episode's title (which they changed at the last moment, when they learned they were being cancelled) being "Bad Timing."
